Solana on Eulex: If the Security Council does not take a decision, Ban Ki-Moon will
The EU High Representative for Foreign and Security Policy Javier Solana argued that in the case the UN Security Council does not take a decision allowing the deployment of Eulex, the UN Secretary-General will.

"We will do according with what the UN decides. I think that the UN Secretary-General should decide. We will implement the decision, just as much as we implement the UN resolutions", Solana said.
When journalists replied that Russia has insisted there must be a UN Security Council decision, Solana said "the decidion should be taken by the UN Security Council".
"If there is no decision at the UN SC, the UN Secretary-General will take the decision and we will implement it", Solana said.
