Almost all parliamentary groups have said they will support the agreement, except the Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS), which has called for a referendum and resignations from the government and President Tomislav Nikolic.
The opposition Democratic Party (DS) says it will vote in favor of the agreement, but has called on the government to tell the people the truth that Kosovo's independence has been recognized.
The government report states, among other things, that the government respected its constitutionally and legally defined powers and constantly kept the local self-government in Kosovo apprised and consulted with its representatives while conducting all activities, including the talks with Pristina.
The 25-page report also notes that the government's activities and the talks were conducted in line with the parliamentary Resolution and keeping in mind that only a systematic approach to achieving state and national goals can ensure a united front on the issue of Kosovo.
The legal basis for submitting the report is contained in the parliamentary Resolution, the report recalls, noting that the Resolution obligates the government to regularly report to the parliament about developments and progress in the talks.
The report lists all events since the start of the dialogue which started based on UN General Assembly Resolution dated September 9, 2010.
The report lists the reached agreements: on civil registries, freedom of movement, the customs seal, the cadaster, the functioning of CEFTA during UNMIK's presidency, recognition of university degrees, integrated management of the administrative line, and regional representation and cooperation.
The Serbian government approved the proposed agreement with Pristina on Monday.
