Slobodan Samardzic, deputy leader of the Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS), says that the proposed agreement between Belgrade and Pristina would shut down Serbian institutions in Kosovo.

The Brussels agreement completes the cycle began with the signing of the Stabilization and Association Agreement with the EU on April 29, 2008, and what "one government started, another one finished in short order - Serbian institutions in Kosovo have been abolished in just five years'," he said.
According to Samardzic, the proposal also brings into question other legal guarantees of Serbia's sovereignty in Kosovo, such as UN Security Council Resolution 1244.
He said the DSS would hold a protest against the agreement and deliver a list of demands to the government, noting that implementation will not be possible because of resistance from Kosovo Serbs.
He also questioned the guarantees NATO gave to Serbia, since this was just an oral agreement.
