Kirby: US plan for Kosovo does not exist
U.S. Ambassador to Serbia Michael Kirby on Wednesday expressed hope Belgrade and Pristina will reach an agreement in Brussels and denied media claims about the existence of a special U.S. plan for Kosovo.

There is no parallel universe and there is no separate American plan on the table, Kirby said at the Serbian government building after signing a memorandum on support for the development of municipalities in south and southwestern Serbia.
Kirby recalled that during their visit to Belgrade late last year, then U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and EU foreign affairs chief Catherine Ashton together expressed support for the dialogue.
Kirby expressed optimism regarding the outcome of Wednesday's talks in Brussels, noting that Serbia could get a date for starting accession talks with the EU in June if an agreement is reached.
Otherwise, the solution of the Kosovo issue would be delayed, which could stall Serbia on its European path, noted the American ambassador.
