The high representative will kick off the regional tour by a visit to Podgorica, and then she will go to Tirana and Skoplje, reads a short statement by Brussels released on Sunday evening.

The information about other stops on her tour will be released subsequently.

The media have been speculating for a few days that Ashton's tour could include Belgrade and Pristina, but this has not been officially confirmed.

Ashton said in a written statement that the goal of her tour is to confirm the European perspectives of the regional countries, and also to encourage reforms ad the development of good neighboring relations.
