Unofficial sources claim that Ashton's mini-tour of the Balkans was previously planned and has nothing to do with the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue.
An official of the European Commission who wished to stay anonymous said that it is common for the information about Ashton's visits to be revealed at the last moment.
This is the usual procedure because of security reasons, the official said and recalled that the official information about Ashton's visits to several other countries, such as Somalia, was revealed only after the EU representative arrived at the spot.
The Belgrade-based Television B92 and the media in Podgorica, Montenegro, reported that Ashton will arrive in Belgrade on April 17 while she should visit Podgorica two days later.
