German, French MPs visit Belgrade

Delegations of the German Bundestag and the French National Assembly will pay a two-day visit to Belgrade as of Wednesday, during which they will meet with Serbian officials on Serbia's EU pathway and the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue.

On the first day of the visit, members of the two parliaments' EU Committees will confer with First Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Aleksandar Vucic.

The meeting will be held in the Serbian government at 16:00 CET, the deputy prime minister's office said.
On Wednesday, the MPs will also confer with Serbian Justice Minister Nikola Selakovic, Tanjug was told in the Ministry of Justice.

The delegations of the Bundestag and the French National Assembly will on Thursday meet with Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Suzana Grubjesic and Serbian MPs, it was announced after a session of the Bundestag.

The delegations are also scheduled to meet with Head of the EU Delegation to Belgrade Vincent Degert, and representatives of the Office of the Council of Europe in Belgrade, political foundations, NGOs, and businessmen.

The topics of the talks will comprise Serbia's EU pathway, the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, and Serbia's preparations for the EU accession talks, reads a statement by the Bundestag.
