Stefanovic: SNS supports top state officials
The Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) supports all state officials in the search for the best possible solution for the Kosovo issue, particularly First Deputy Prime Minister and SNS leader Aleksandar Vucic, SNS deputy leader Nebojsa Stefanovic stated on Thursday.

Stefanovic, who is also the speaker of the Serbian parliament, called on all political factors to make a unanimous political decision which would contribute to reaching a solution to the Kosovo issue that would be in the best interest of the citizens and the country.
“The SNS supports all state representatives who make these decisions, especially Vucic. We want to state unambiguously that we as an MP group and the party will stand behind the decisions that will be made, and we believe he (Vucic) will be able to make a decision that will be the best for our citizens and country, and that this decision will pave the way to a solution which will be such that the citizens will benefit from it in the long run,” Stefanovic said.
He expressed hope at a press conference in the Serbian parliament that all other political factors will show responsibility at the moment.
“This is not a moment to score cheap political points. Neither Vucic nor the SNS have created this crisis and they did not lead to this but we took responsibility in a difficult moment. We are ready to do everything to find a way out and to make sure that the solution will guarantee a better future to the citizens,” he explained.
“This is a moment when Serbia needs to stop, think and make a decision that will guarantee some sort of stability for the society and the state,” Stefanović noted.
The eight round of the dialogue in Brussels ended without an agreement on Tuesday evening, and the mediator in the dialogue, Catherine Ashton, said that for her the political dialogue is finished, and that she expects from Belgrade and Pristina to inform her about their decisions.
Stefanovic underlined that it is obvious that what happened in Brussels were not realistic talks, but rather presentation of difficult solutions for the Serbian side, which was faced with something difficult and bad for Serbia and its citizens.
“At the same time, the alternatives to non-accepting these solutions can be qualified in the same manner, it can be said that these are almost equally difficult and bad solutions,” Stefanovic said.
