After a meeting of top officials in Belgrade, during which members of Belgrade's negotiating team informed Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic about results of the eighth round of the dialogue with Pristina, Djuric said that in the coming days, the most senior officials would inform the public about Serbia's next moves.

"The situation is really difficult, just as we were announcing last week, and in the coming days the top officials will have to make some very hard calls, and discuss them in detail with the public," said the president's advisor, who was a member of the negotiating team in previous rounds.

According to Djuric, the last round of talks exceeded all negative expectations and it could be said that there is no compromise solution at the moment, but that Belgrade remains resolved to work toward it regardless of how difficult that might be.
