He stressed that not a single school class will be moved from Kosovo, let alone a whole college or the University of Pristina with a temporary seat in Kosovska Mitrovica.
Vulin said the University has 11,000 students and is of great importance, expressing hope that the number of students will go up. "Belgrade is fighting for the right of the people in Kosovo to decide about their own lives, and this would not be possible without a university and local self-government," he said.
In Zvecan, Vulin also met with representatives of Trepca, assuring them the mining complex will not be privatized.
He recalled that the government has already prevented one attempt to privatize the mine, noting that Serbia and the Development Fund are and will remain its majority owners.
"In all negotiations, we insisted that the community of Serb municipalities must be a legal entity which has its own property," said Vulin. He noted that Serbs were excluded from the division of property in all privatizations south of the Ibar river, even though they contributed to building the companies.
Noting that privatizations cannot be based on nationality, Vulin said the state of Serbia cannot recognize such privatizations and expressed hope the international community will share its view.
