“We will take a decision for the good of Serbia and our children,” Vucic said at a meeting of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS), which he leads, ahead of early elections in Kovin.
Vucic denies any disagreement with Nikolic
Serbia's First Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said on Friday that there is no disagreement between Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic and him, and underlined there would be nothing of the kind in the future.
Vucic says that political opponents are trying to present that there is a disagreement between the Serbian president and him and that there is no unity between the two, the former and current leaders of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS), the leading party of the ruling coalition.
Nikolic stepped down as the SNS leader after having been elected as the president of Serbia.
Both Toma and I are embarrassed at having to comment on this, but to make things easier- no, we are not quarreling and we will not do that. It would be childish to forget that it was Tomislav Nikolic who opened up prospects for changes in Serbia by his election victory and not me. He opened the door for Serbia to go along the road of changes, to become normal, Vucic said at a party meeting in Kovin.
