Andric: Joint appearance step further in dialogue

Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) MP Ivan Andric said Thursday that the joint news conference held by Serbia's and Kosovo's prime ministers Ivica Dacic and Hasim Taci is "a step further in the dialogue", and that the Serbian parliament should debate the content of the talks to date.

Andric told reporters at the parliament that no MP is privy to the content of any agreement, whether an agreement will happen at all, and what its consequences might be. "This is a delicate moment and bad scenarios are still much more likely than good ones. I appeal to the political responsibility of all those involved in Serbian political life, especially the people heading these talks - (Ivica) Dacic, (Aleksandar) Vucic and (Tomislav) Nikolic and ask them that we discuss this seriously," said Andric. Andric said this was the first time Dacic and Taci went before the press together, but they still gave contradictory statements. "A joint news conference is a step further in the dialogue," said Andric, adding that his party believes the most important thing right now is to stop with "the excuses that Dacic is making by saying one thing in Brussels and another in Serbia."
