The Ibar river damaged a bridge in Leposavic, cutting off some 50 households in the village of Kutnje from the world, while several villages are without power. On Friday morning children from Kutnje could not reach their schools and workers were unable to get to work. Civil protection units are in the field. Ibar overflowed during the night and flooded almost all fields surrounding its banks in northern Kosovo. Snow also fell in the northern part of the province Thursday night. Rain and flooding caused major damage in the villages of Doljane, Korilje and Banjska in the Zvecan municipality, where several homes were flooded. In Banjska, the local elementary school was flooded as well.
