Vulin told reporters at the Palace of Serbia that he relayed the government's position to ambassadors of Latin American, African and Asian countries which have not recognized Kosovo. "This is the majority of the world," noted Vulin. He said he told them Serbia was very concerned about the future of the talks between Belgrade and Pristina, since Pristina does not want to give ground on any of the issues. "I expressed my concern that this will have a negative effect on the future and seriously jeopardize stability in the region," said Vulin. According to Vulin, he asked the ambassadors to stand firmly by their positions and make an effort to inform their governments and people about Serbia's readiness to make concessions in the dialogue, but also its determination to preserve its sovereignty and the right to be called a civilized state. He reminded them about the agreement which stipulates that a footnote must accompany Kosovo's name at international meetings. At these events, Kosovo is also prohibited from displaying any state symbols and everything must be kept status neutral. "Overall, Serbia has shown that it respects all agreements, whether they were reached by this or the previous government, which is more than we can say for the other side," said Vulin, adding that the international community needs to take this into account.
