"Serbia has a clear strategy, formulated in the Platform and the decisions of the parliament and we sincerely want a just and sustainable solution which will make it possible for Serbs to stay in Kosovo and will ensure durable peace in the region," stressed Dacic.
He said that in searching for a solution to the Kosovo issue, Serbia relies on the support of Spain, Greece, Cyprus, Romania and Slovakia, which have not recognized the unilaterally declared independence of the southern Serbian province, the government press office said in a release. On February 25, Dacic met with the ambassadors of the Quint countries, telling them that the government is united and believes a just solution for Kosovo can only be found with necessary compromise from both sides.
Dacic told the ambassadors of the United States, Germany, Britain, France and Italy, and the head of the EU mission in Belgrade that the purpose of the dialogue is to ensure the safety and survival of Serbs in the southern province and achieve lasting stability in the region through just and sustainable solutions.
