Nikolic met with Kirby in Belgrade ahead of the new round of the political talks between Belgrade and Pristina in Brussels, scheduled for March 4.
Ambassador Kirby stressed the U.S. administration's position that the solution to the Kosovo issue should be reached in a way that will satisfy both the Serbian and the Albanian side, which is important for the whole region, according to a release by the Serbian president's press office.
Ambassador Kirby also added that the U.S. is aware of President Nikolic's desire to help restore stability in the Balkans, that much has already been done and that it is good that these actions are producing concrete results, the release said.
Ahead of the talks in Brussels, Nikolic said, Serbia's representatives are ready to further clarify any questions regarding the Resolution passed by the Serbian parliament that are considered by the international community to have been vaguely explained.
