In a statement for the Italian agency Nova, as reported by the Pristina-based daily Express, Kacin said that this can help Serbia get a starting date for the EU accession talks. Kacin said that Serbia has done a lot in terms of fulfillment of the criteria for the starting date, and that in spite of Germany's grave doubts, he is optimistic about Serbia's date for the start of the EU accession talks. The core challenge is normalization of relations with Pristina, where we have witnessed great progress. I am certain that the European Commission, Germany included, will know how to appreciate that, Kacin said. He believes that the north Kosovo issue is sensitive, and that no one can expect it to be resolved with only one meeting. It is very important that Pristina has agreed on the community of Serb municipalities. I hope that the prime ministers of Kosovo and Serbia, Hasim Taci and Ivica Dacic, will reach a comprehensive solution for the north during the coming two rounds. The agreement is at their fingertips, and I believe that Taci and Dacic will use that, Kacin said.
