Dacic: Compromise leads to solution for Kosovo issue

The Serbian government is unanimous, and believes that a fair solution to the Kosovo issue can be reached only with a necessary compromise by both sides, Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic said in the talks with the ambassadors of the U.S., Germany, Great Britain, France, Italy and the head of the EU Mission in Belgrade on Monday.

Dacic informed the ambassadors of the Quint countries about the development of the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue to date and implementation of the agreements that the two sides have reached, the Serbian government's press office stated. “The goal of the dialogue is to secure safety and survival of Serbs in the southern province and establish lasting stability in the region through a sustainable solution,” the Serbian prime minister said. The meeting underlined that Serbia has support in the implementation of the reforms, and that it is on a good way to get a starting date for the EU accession talks, the statement reads.
