British Ambassador to Serbia Michael Davenport said that he welcomes the fact that political leaders from Belgrade and Pristina are greatly engaged in the dialogue, adding that concrete results of this engagement are expected now.

The member states will jointly consider whether visible, sustainable improvement in the relations has been made in line with the criteria set by the European Council, Davenport said for Tuesday's edition of Belgrade-based daily Blic.
Ambassador Davenport believes that there are reasons for optimism that owing to the talks between the prime ministers of Serbia and Kosovo, Belgrade will continue to make progress in the EU integration process, stressing that it is very important for the people who live in Kosovo to feel the changes.
The fact that a date has been set for the next meeting (March 4) is a basis for optimism, and it is up to the participants in the dialogue process to show what can be achieved realistically, Davenport believes.
In April, the European Commission will report on the fulfillment of the conclusions of the European Council from December 2012, and the governments of all EU member states will discuss carefully this and the assessment by EU High Representative Catherine Ashton about the dialogue.
Aside the effect of the dialogue's results in the EU accession processes of Serbia and Kosovo, a very important aspect is the progress in the resolution of problems of people who live in Kosovo, Davenport said.
