Kirby: U.S. satisfied about direction of dialogue

U.S. Ambassador to Serbia Michael Kirby said Thursday that the United States is happy to see the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina moving on in the right direction, adding that it is obvious Serbia's political actors want the Kosovo issue resolved.

During a meeting he had with Serbian parliament Nebojsa Stefanovic, Kirby said the U.S. government is happy that the things are heading in the right direction and he is sure that Serbia has the political desire to finally overcome the Kosovo issue and turn to other priorities, such as economy, fight against corruption and European integration. According to a release from the Serbian parliament, Kirby said that the U.S. is confident that Belgrade and Pristina are both ready to negotiate.
