The resolution will provide a new incentive for the dialogue facilitated by the EU and help find solutions, Chepurin told Tanjug.

Russia's view remains the same in that it will support any decision acceptable to Serbia, he noted. It is important that Serbia set its own priorities, Chepurin added, stressing that Russia was very respectful of Serbia's approach to the issue.

Russia values highly the efforts by the president, government and parliament towards dealing with the Kosovo issue in a peaceful way, the ambassador concluded.
